Nausea Ease blend contains four essential oils to manage feelings of nausea for reasons that may include seasickness, car sickness, chemotherapy and post-op nausea.
Aromatherapy is administered by inhalation and topically. When inhaled, very simply, the molecules interact with the surface of your nasal cavity. Tiny olfactory nerves that are located in the room of the inner nose transmit these aromas to the part of the brain called the limbic system. The limbic system interacts to control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress level and hormone balance. This is why essential oils have such a powerful effect on our moods and general state of mind. When applied externally, the essential oils get absorbed into your skin and you get a more systemic approach.
Peppermint Essential Oil: Has a strong, clean, fresh, minty aroma and has the ability to improve concentration and mental sharpness. Peppermint relaxes the gastric muscles and keeps them from cramping up or over-contracting.
Lavender: Lavender is an adaptogen, therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.
Ginger Essential Oil: Can help to ease nausea and motion sickness.
Spearmint: The refreshing scent of spearmint, mixed with the menthol component of its oil, can make you feel more alert and able to breathe despite your nausea.
