Your skin has a natural physical way of losing dead skin cells from the top layers of the skin, and this process is called desquamation. Exfoliation is the term used to ‘accelerate’ this process. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells, grease and impurities from the surface of the skin. It allows fresh new cells to be exposed improving the appearance of the skin. Exfoliating allows masks and moisturizers to better penetrate the outer layers of your skin. It improves circulation, allows more oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells and improves hyper-pigmentation. Exfoliating should be done once weekly. The essential oils in this product help to fight foot fungus and infections.
Directions: For the best benefits of this scrub, soak your feet in hot water for about 5 minutes, scrub feet well in a circular motion and continue to soak for another 10 minutes. This allows the oils to reach the deeper layers of your skin, not to mention truly spoiling yourself in the process. If you use the tub instead of a foot bath, the oil can make your tub a little slick so be careful.
